Okay, I admit it, I’m a sucker for a good love story. I’m not talking about sappy I love you’s and an altar ending, but a “we’ve been married now for 30 years” kind of ending. Last night I got to have dinner with such a couple. I’ve known them for a while, but it was the first time I got to hear how they met. I had a goofy grin on my face as they told the details of the first glimpse, the long wait, the beginning of “us,” and other bits and pieces of their story. I found myself rushing ahead with questions, wanting to know details and needing more explanations. Yes, I am that girl.
Every story is different, yet I love them all. There’s just something beautiful bout how God can bring together two hopelessly flawed people, from two different backgrounds, cause them to be mutually attracted to each other, get married, and then through the highs, lows, and really low lows of life still be together decades later. Our God is so good. They way He brings people together gives me faith and hope. The way He keeps people together reminds me of His faithfulness. He is good!

Don't you love a good story!? Gracious. I could listen to my mom and dad tell me their story over and over. And I usually cry every time. Our God is so good.
